Composite insulator is a widely used insulation component in power systems, mainly used to support transmission and distribution lines and deliver electricity to user terminals. A composite insulator consists of three parts: a shaft, a core rod, and a sleeve. The core rod is usually made of glass fiber resin core rod (or core tube), and the outer layer is a sheath and umbrella skirt made of insulating materials such as silicone rubber.
