Product Overview

Composite surge arresters are critical overvoltage protection devices specifically designed for medium- and high-voltage (3kV-36kV) power systems. Their core component is a metal oxide varistor (MOV), encapsulated in a high-performance silicone rubber composite housing. Their primary function is to quickly clamp and transfer transient overvoltages caused by lightning strikes or operational faults to ground, preventing damage to transformers, switchgear, and other critical electrical equipment. The silicone rubber housing’s excellent hydrophobicity, corrosion resistance, and lightweight properties enable composite surge arresters to withstand harsh outdoor environments, making them the preferred choice for global power grids, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.
