Qujiang Pumped-Storage 500 kV Outgoing Connection
500 kVSUNENG supplied selected electrical products and components for the Qujiang pumped-storage 500 kV outgoing-connection project.
Project context.
The Qujiang pumped-storage outgoing project connects the power station to Xiajin 500 kV substation. The route passes through Qujiang District and Longyou County in Quzhou, Zhejiang.
The 37.678 km connection combines single-circuit towers with a short section using one side of double-circuit towers. At Xiajin, the work adds one 500 kV outgoing bay and a 60 Mvar shunt reactor on the low-voltage side of No. 4 main transformer.
Electrical scope
- Single-circuit section
- 34.719 km of single-circuit overhead line.
- Shared-tower section
- 2.959 km using one side of double-circuit towers.
- Tower arrangement
- 99 single-circuit towers and eight double-circuit towers.
- Conductors
- Four-conductor bundles using JL3/G1A-400/35 and JL3/G1A-400/50 conductors.
- Optical ground wire
- 48-core OPGW on the single-circuit section and 72-core OPGW on the double-circuit-tower section.
- Substation additions
- One 500 kV outgoing bay and one 60 Mvar low-voltage-side shunt reactor at Xiajin.
