Zhaohua-Bazhong 500 kV Double-Circuit Line
500 kVSUNENG supplied selected electrical products and components for the Zhaohua-Bazhong 500 kV double-circuit transmission-line project.
Project context.
The Zhaohua-Bazhong 500 kV line connects the two substations through Zhaohua and Wangcang in Guangyuan and Nanjiang and Bazhou in Bazhong. Both circuits share a 144.41 km overhead route through hilly and mountainous terrain.
The line uses 294 towers: 187 suspension towers and 107 tension towers. Associated work includes two additional 500 kV outgoing bays at Bazhong. Construction began in April 2020, followed by energized trial operation in June 2021.
