Suzhou Yuexi 500 kV Substation & Line Connections
500 / 220 kVSUNENG supplied selected electrical products and components for the Suzhou Yuexi 500 kV substation and line-connection project.
Project context.
Yuexi 500 kV substation is located in Wuzhong District, Suzhou. The project installs two 1,000 MVA indoor three-phase transformers and indoor gas-insulated switchgear for the 500 kV and 220 kV systems.
The Mudu-Chefang 500 kV lines are looped into Yuexi through 4.971 km of new connections with 13 towers. The route combines double-circuit and mixed-voltage four-circuit tower structures; the lower 220 kV positions on the mixed-voltage towers were not strung in this phase.
Electrical scope
- Station configuration
- Indoor three-phase main transformers and indoor GIS.
- Outgoing circuits
- Four 500 kV circuits and seven 220 kV circuits.
- Reactive compensation
- Two 60 Mvar capacitor banks on the low-voltage side of each main transformer.
- Loop-in line lengths
- Eastern section: 2.706 km; western section: 2.265 km.
- Line conductors
- Four-conductor bundles of JL3/G1A-630/45.
- Mixed-voltage tower provision
- The lower 220 kV circuit positions were left unstrung in this phase.
